I like him because...

He is thoughtful.  He calls instead of texts. He brings me cookies when I miss out.  He fans me with a leaf when I say I am hot.  He tells me to walk in front so he doesn't lose me. He makes me laugh. He likes Harry Potter.  He'll always go to the zoo with me.  He says "ok" when I tell him "You're cute."  He responds with "but what about hail?" when I tell him I would get out in the rain for him anytime. He tells me I should put Neosporin on my cuts. I didn't think of that.  He likes baby animals and baby humans as much as I do.  He likes popping fireworks, the rodeo, football.  He is passionate about what he believes in. He challenges me to think deeply.  He is a hard worker. He matches my sass. He understands my humor.  He is goofy. He has a cute dimple.  He loves his family.  He loves his Mom. He values communication and growth. He pushes me to be like Jesus. He helps me be more responsible. He...

What gives you a sense of security?

It may be a haiku. It may be a first person personal narrative. It may be a random snippet of original fiction. It may be a reflection on a spiritual topic. It may be my own personal commentary or opinion. It may be completely random. And it may be completely repetitive. Like this is and is going to continue being. This is going to be a place for my ramblings and musings. Consider yourself warned.  ...

A Letter to my Dad

This line of thought stems from a conversation my Dad and I had the other day. We spoke about how there are so many different characteristics of God the Father. He is a unique being with so many different sides to him. In different moments in our life, we see a Forgiving God, a God of Grace, a Loving God, a Sacrificing God, etc. In even his names you know him more: El Deah - God of Knowledge El Olam - The Everlasting God El Roi - The God who Sees Elohim - The Creator Like our Heavenly Father, my own Dad has so many different sides to him. I see him in a way that no one else does. My own siblings see him in a way that's even different from my own view. I've seen my young dad - the guy trying to figure out life and how to be the man his young family needs; I've seen my baseball dad - the man who loves every child so fiercely and treats every one of them like his own. This version of my dad has charisma for days. He makes friends so easily and makes everyone feel l...
